2 Easy & Healthy Dog Biscuit Recipes

At Finley & Collar, we view our dogs as part of our family. And every family member deserves a tasty snack baked with love. These healthy dog biscuit recipes are a must-try that your dog is guaranteed to enjoy!

These dog treats are incredibly quick and very easy to make. They also offer a nutritional boost for your dog as well as making great gifts for your dog's best pals.

But most importantly, these treats are made using healthy ingredients to ensure your dog can be spoilt while still being cared for.

Pumpkin Spice Dog Biscuits:

  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup ground flax seed
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

If the dough is sticky or difficult to work with, refrigerate it for 30 minutes and / or knead in an extra tablespoon or two of flour.

3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits:

  • 1 1/2 cups gluten-free old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1 large ripe banana (or 2 medium bananas), smashed

Method For Both Recipes:

It’s as simple as mixing everything together in a large bowl and dividing the mixture into equally sized biscuits.

Place the biscuit mixture onto a lined baking tray and bake in the oven on 200 degrees celsius for 15 minutes or until lightly brown underneath.

Be sure to allow cooling for 10-15 minutes before sampling or sharing with your pup! The biscuits can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

We partnered with Pupcakes Dog Bakery who are making our very own Finley & Collar products. Healthy, gluten-free, sugar-free pupcakes that you can purchase directly from us, or get yours personalised via their website:
